Pathways to Policy Transformation: Lac La Biche Solutions Hub
Prairie Food System Vision Network (PFSVN) has a vision and mission aimed at supporting, identifying and encouraging solutions that influence the socio-ecological transformation of our food system. They accomplish this through their Solutions Hub activities such as virtual conversational gatherings and by supporting local projects through pilot food systems microgrants.
The Future is Emerging Together
On March 6, 2024 Prairie Food System Vision Network (PFSVN) hosted their first online gathering of a food sovereignty solutions hub: “Working Together for Food Sovereignty.” The intention of the meeting was captured in a quote by Hellen Keller, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” It was an opportunity to learn about projects from PFSVN Food System microgrant recipients and presentations from other local and global food initiatives, to discuss new possibilities and to grow solutions.
The Evolving Vision of the Prairie Food System Vision Network
If you have been following the PFSVN website and various messages we have shared over the past couple of years you may have noticed that the network has issued several vision statements. If so, you may be wondering whether we actually have a clear vision for the future? Or are we just winging it?
Pilot Food Systems Microgrants Program
The Prairie Food System Vision Network (PFSVN) has launched an initiative to provide grants of up to $10,000 to groups and individuals proposing innovative projects that contribute to the transformation of the food system in Canada’s prairie region.
